Sunday Bloody Sunday at the Light Cinema and a choice for the final film

SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY

The Friends of the Williamson in conjunction with The Light Cinema in New Brighton have run a programme of BAFTA award winning films with every Thursday evening throughout the duration of the exhibition. The films have been selected by Mike Studley, former film Critic for the Liverpool Echo, choosing from the actors represented in the exhibition who have a connection to Wirral or Merseyside. Tickets are £5 a ticket/ conc £4 for Friends of Williamson or for normal concessions 7.30pm on a Thursday with one film on during family screening time in half terms). Tickets available  from the cinema and online.
 

In addition to Sunday Bloody Sunday with Birkenhead's own Glenda Jackson, The Friends of the Williamson Art Gallery will be showing a short film- Reel Heroes - Celebrating a Life of Motion Pictures 2014, next Thursday at 7.30pm at the Light Cinema in New Brighton


Then we have a choice for the final film, either Boyhood which won best film & director, Still Alice which won  best actress in a leading role, Theory of Everything which won best actor in a leading role and Birdman which won the BAFTA for best cinematography.
