Have you got your ticket yet to step out in style at the Williamson Art Gallery for our FRIENDLY GALA on Friday the 10th of February. The Williamson and Priory Friends "Gala gals" team have been working away to build on the success of their gala in 2015 for the BAFTA Behind the Mask exhibition and create a special night to remember.
There will be themed canapes (from Cheeki Chilli Events) and a welcome drink included in the ticket price (£20) as well as a pay bar available (a percentage of sales from the bar will be given to the charity).
Guests should arrive at 7pm to take a charleston lesson within the Bugsy Malone exhibition with Mersey Swing or relax and look at all the exhibitions whilst Wirral School of Music staff entertain us on the piano until it is showtime with the Speakeasy Bootleg Band and The Night and Days
The 1920s theme for the evening suits both the setting of the film and the surroundings. The Williamson was built in 1928 with lovely plaster details throughout the building and the gala guys and gals have been putting their creative skills to good use to add to the Art Deco style so dress up as a flapper or a gangster or whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
Tickets are available to purchase in person from the gallery by cash or cheque only and will not incur a booking fee.
Tickets are also available through the Floral Pavilion online, in their box office and by phone with a small booking fee of £1.50. Click here to purchase tickets BUGSY MALONE
Any profits raised from the gala will be "ploughed" back into the development of The Quad* to extend the exhibition space and cafe outside and provide a garden for all.
